Award-winning entrepreneur Eimer Hannon is the founder and Managing Director of Hannon Travel, one of Ireland's leading corporate travel management companies.

What began as a business venture from a spare room in her home has grown into an internationally connected company, with offices in Navan and Belfast and clients across the globe.

Eimer's entrepreneurial achievements have earned her national recognition, including the prestigious Matheson Women Mean Business Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2019. Under her leadership, Hannon Travel was also named Corporate Travel Agency of the Year 2026.

In this inspiring presentation, Eimer will share her journey from identifying an opportunity in the travel industry to building a successful international business, reflecting on the challenges, risks, setbacks and successes along the way.

Drawing on more than 30 years' experience in the travel industry, Eimer will explore the importance of ambition, resilience, trusting your instincts and having the courage to embrace new opportunities.

A passionate supporter of female entrepreneurship, Eimer has also shared her experience and expertise as a mentor with the ACORNS programme, helping other women realise their business ambitions.

Barbara Brennan is the founder of Mental Health Matters, an award-winning workplace mental health business with a national reach, and a valued member of Cavan Women in Business Network.

From her early beginnings in the craft industry to becoming a recognised entrepreneur and advocate for workplace mental health, Barbara's journey is one of courage, determination and resilience.

In this honest, uplifting and inspiring presentation, Barbara will share the human side of entrepreneurship, drawing on her personal and professional experiences to explore the realities of building a business, managing pressures, protecting our mental health and supporting those around us.

Her story is a powerful reminder that business success is not just about what we achieve, but also about looking after the person behind the business.

Barbara's achievements to date have earned her national recognition, including:

• The IBEC Outstanding Contribution to Wellbeing Award in 2024
• Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 from Local Enterprise Office Cavan.

Supporting Ambition: Helping Businesses Grow, Develop & Succeed

Local Enterprise Office Cavan has been a proud supporter of Cavan Women in Business Network since its establishment in May 2013, playing an important role in encouraging and supporting female entrepreneurship throughout the county.

Susan will highlight the wide range of practical supports available through Local Enterprise Office Cavan, from business advice, mentoring and training to financial assistance and business development opportunities.

As we look ahead to 2027, Susan will encourage members to explore the supports and resources available to help them overcome challenges, embrace new opportunities and take the next step in their business journey.

Festive Entertainment – Cuan Crooners Community Choir
Sharing the Joy of Christmas & Supporting CUAN Cancer Support, Cavan

We are delighted to welcome the Cuan Crooners Community Choir to our Christmas celebration, where they will entertain us with a selection of festive favourites.

Established in 2024, the choir brings together cancer survivors, people living with a cancer diagnosis, and family members and friends, united by friendship, music and the joy of singing together.

The choir has a special connection with CUAN Cancer Support, Cavan, which provides invaluable care and support to individuals and families affected by cancer.

A collection in aid of CUAN Cancer Support will take place during the evening, giving us all an opportunity to support this wonderful local service while enjoying the spirit of Christmas.

As part of our Cavan Women in Business Network Christmas Celebration on Tuesday, 1st December 2026, at Farnham Estate, we are delighted to host our Christmas Fair, showcasing the wonderful creativity, talent and enterprise of our Network members.

Taking place from 5.45 to 7.00pm, the Fair offers a lovely opportunity to browse a selection of unique products, discover local businesses, meet the women behind them and perhaps tick a few gifts off your Christmas shopping list.
