National Ploughing Championships
The Local Enterprise Offices are responsible for the design and build of the Local Enterprise Village and its promotion to visitors. In September this year, the 31 LEOs will support 84 small businesses and start-ups through the Local Enterprise Village. These LEO clients will showcase new products and services aimed at consumers in rural Ireland and the farming community.
In 2016, the LEOs are building a dedicated new product launch and demonstration area within the Local Enterprise Village and will conduct a new award scheme for client companies namely – The Local Enterprise Village Awards. These awards will be presented during the National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Tullamore, from 20th – 22nd September. Just over 280,000 visitors attended last year’s event and LEO clients within the Local Enterprise Village generated sales and orders to the value of €650,000.
