National Women’s Enterprise Day 

Date:     Wed 22nd and Thursday 23rd October 2014

Venue:  Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill

Cost:     €100 per delegate including Wed afternoon, supper Wed night, all day conference on Thursday including lunch and free access to a mentor session of the delegates choice during the conference.

The aim of National Women’s Enterprise Day is to encourage even more women to set up their own businesses and to increase national recognition of the essential role played by Ireland’s female entrepreneurs.  The event consists of a variety of developmental support actions, including inspiring speakers, information provision, exhibition of state supports for enterprise, facilitated business networking and one to one business mentoring.  The NWED 2014 brochure is now available to download click here.

Local Enterprise Office Offaly is offering 100% funding for the first ten women who wish to book on the event. You must be a registered business with ten or less employees in County Offaly. 

If you wish to avail of a free place at the event please return completed the booking form to geraldine.beirne@leo.offalycoco.ie no later than Wednesday October 8. Should demand be greater than ten places, places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Places are limited to one attendee per business.

Keynote speakers at this year's event are Fiona Stack, CEO, Radio Kerry and Leonora O'Brien, CEO & Founder at Pharmapod Ltd, the conference facilitator is Sile Seoige.

Advice, mentoring and networking are key elements of National Women's Enterprise Day with a panel of experienced mentors available.  Successful businesswomen share their experiences with start-up companies and fledgling businesses.

Objectives

  • To provide a national networking forum for women in business that will support them in starting and growing their businesses.
  • To promote best practice of networking and facilitation for women in enterprise.
  • To facilitate female entrepreneurs from throughout Ireland in developing useful business contacts and in improving their own business management / networking skills.
  • To facilitate access to a broad range of specialist business information from relevant agencies.
  • This will involve entrepreneurs engaging in networking and learning.
  • To highlight female entrepreneurship.

Free confidential one-to-one mentoring sessions with experienced business mentors will be available on both Wednesday and Thursday.  The sessions are managed by appointment, so delegates will have to register for a mentor session upon checking in at the NWED conference.
