Event Overview

Business across Ireland are taking strides to improve their competitiveness by reducing costs and increasing their profit through the Lean for Micro program.

Lean Thinking  is centred on the belief that waste exists in all processes, and at the heart of any Profit Increasing project is to identify and eliminate that waste, leaving only Value Adding steps for our customers.  Put simply, Lean Thinking is about taking what you do successfully in your business, then finding ways to do it Faster, Better, and Together with your team.

Lean is about more than cash savings to small business owners though. For many it is about building a stable, secure, and sustainable business that is agile enough to face economic challenges. For many it is about liberating themselves from Non-Value adding activities through questioning and re-designing their processes, allowing them to focus on business growth and Value-Adding activities. For many, the program has given them the ability to get home on time, work less at the weekends, while still getting the work done. All these businesses achieved these outcomes by focusing on the elimination of waste from their processes, creating standards, implementing visual management, and by accepting that what has taken us this far in the business, may not take us where we want to go.

Through the Lean for Micro Program, Jigsaw helps great businesses like yours BE BETTER!

The big question everyone has is “How do I Get started”?  The decision to get started is the hard part and this session  will introduce lean tools and thinking, key steps and challenges to getting started, practical examples from companies on their 1st steps and some practical exercises that you can apply in your business the next day.

We will hear from Local Businesses that have taken part in the program, sharing their experience and hearing the impact it had.

In addition, the workshop will show you the way to get started, who to connect with and what supports are available.

If you are a micro enterprise looking to take your first steps in lean, this workshop is for you.
