Cavan County Enterprise Fund (CCEF) can offer eligible enterprises:

  • Flexible loan finance to new and expanding small business, usually in the manufacturing, tradable services and tourism sectors.
  • Workspace availability

Cavan County Enterprise Fund (CCEF) was established in 1988 as a company limited by guarantee, not having a share capital, with financial support from The International Fund for Ireland (IFI).

The objectives for which the company was formed include:

  • To give effect to or to further the aims and objectives of the IFI by creating a revolving business enterprise fund.
  • To become involved in, assist, contribute towards or manage any small industry or community based economic project or any workspace project or any programme created or organised under the auspices of the IFI.

The range of supports available is made possible by the fact that day to day administration of the company is undertaken by the staff of Cavan County Enterprise Board.

 

Affordable Workspace

 

In recognition of the need among small enterprises for affordable and flexible workspace, Cavan County Enterprise Fund has developed enterprise centre space at a number of locations throughout the County as follows:

Cavan- Killygarry (21,000 sq.ft  in 11/12 units )

Cootehill Centre 1 (9,000 sq.ft. split into 5/6 units)

The following affordable workspace is currently available for leasing in Cootehill Enterprise Centre:

The Enterprise & Technology Centre was created to promote sustainable job creation in the area, building on the success of an existing small scale (800 sq m) Enterprise Centre, which has been one of the most successful centres on the North East, having incubated over 10 small enterprises which currently have a combined employment of over 200.

The new Enterprise & Technology Centre, when fully complete, will provide high quality accommodation for new and expanding small enterprises, and having the potential to accommodate 80-100 new jobs. The building is designed to provide the maximum flexibility and can be custom designed and laid out to meet client needs. Connected to high speed broadband and natural gas, the building will be attractive to entrepreneurs focussed on ICT/high technology enterprises.

Loan Finance

 

As its core activity, the Cavan County Enterprise Fund (CCEF) provides finance for various purposes linked to enterprise development through a range of loan schemes listed below. Loan applications are subject to certain eligibility criteria and to terms and conditions.

Revolving Loan Fund

This loan scheme provides finance towards the expansion, modifications or improvements to existing business premises and/or business working capital. Eligible sectors include manufacturing, tradeable services and tourism initiatives.

Applications are considered on their individual merits and/or requirements.

Social Loan Fund

Social Finance involves the provision of repayable loan finance at affordable rates to community based projects and local development initiatives, including individual and community micro enterprise which yield a social and financial return. see www.sff.ie
