The day, which was attended by some of Ireland's top chefs and food writers, also saw the launch of the festival's new website, tasteofcavan.ie, and the latest addition to the wildly popular two-day event, 'The Home Chef of Cavan'.
This cookery competition will see the people of Cavan test their culinary abilities at Taste of Cavan on 12th and 13th August by preparing a local dish in 45 minutes for chef judges Neven Maguire, Anjula Devi and Shane Smith for a top prize of dinner and overnight stay for two at MacNean House and day for two at Neven Maguire's Cookery School, plus €200 spending money.
