Clémence Prosen Art & Design, based in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, was founded by Clémence Prosen, a French-born, Irish creative entrepreneur, artist, designer, writer, educator, and calm-life advocate. After spending 15 years as a R&D Project Manager in the corporate world, Clémence returned to art in 2014 as a way to cope with the stress of toxic corporate work environments and reconnect with calm and mindfulness.

Inspired by Ireland’s raw landscapes, ancient stories and deep connection with nature, Clémence became a full time artist in 2021. Driven by a mission to help people slow down and find balance in their lives, Clémence creates meaningful art across a variety of formats and media. She collaborates with galleries, local communities, and online platforms to share her vision. Her brand is powered by the values of balance, calm and respect with the ultimate goal of supporting mental well-being through creative expression.

From the brands inception, it received great support from the Local Enterprise Office Fingal (LEO), which helped Clémence pursue her dreams. In 2019 Clémence first contacted LEO Fingal and availed of the 1 to 1 mentoring service. She also took part in the Start Your Own Business programme which is organised over multiple weeks by LEO Fingal aiming to equip attendees with all the fundamental knowledge and understanding of starting a new business to enable them to run it more effectively.

Clémence attended numerous business seminars over the next few years and in addition to the training and mentoring, LEO Fingal also provided her with valuable networking opportunities through the Fingal Enterprising Women Network (FEWN) events.

LEO Fingal also provided financial support to Clémence to help her grow and expand her market. In 2020 she received the Trading Online Voucher which allowed her to enhance her online trading capabilities and also gave training and advice to aid her in establishing an online presence.

In late 2023 Clémence was looking to attend the design led retail trade show, Top Drawer in London in January of 2024, but needed financial support to attend the event and have a stand. LEO Fingal supported this with the TAME grant, giving Clémence the funds she required to attend and exhibit. This event was key for Clémence, making a big step towards exporting as she launched a new collection – British Counties. Following the success of the Irish counties range, this allowed  Clémence to appeal to a new demographic while still maintaining her interests and values.

Clémence has expanded her range of products and widened her customer base over the years, now offering products such as Celtic prints, road signs and fine art and also a range of services like painting classes and mindful artsy sessions.

Clémence presented some of her work at Showcase Ireland – One of Irelands largest international trade shows in both 2023 and 2024. Supported by LEO Fingal, Clémence was able to showcase her work to over 3,000 buyers from across the world. Like Top Drawer, this event was a great way for Clémence to get her work out there for people to see and proved to be successful with her meeting new stockists and creating new partnerships.

Clémence showcased her products at LEO Fingal’s Fingal Business Network Christmas Lunch event in 2024, where over 140 business owners and entrepreneurs gathered.
