Gigi Supplements, based in Santry, was founded by registered nutritional therapists who specialise in female health, Jennie Haire and Lisa Hughes, with the official brand launch taking place on 10 November 2023 at Yoga Yard Sandymount. Driven by a passion for empowering women to live symptom-free at every stage of their reproductive lives, Jennie and Lisa identified a gap in the market for high-quality supplements specifically tailored for female hormonal health. This vision led them to create Gigi Supplements.
From its inception, Gigi Supplements has received vital support from the Local Enterprise Office Fingal (LEO), which has helped the business grow and establish a strong foundation. In
2023, Gigi received a Feasibility Study Grant, supporting the business with design and prototype development, consultancy, and market research. In 2024, Gigi was awarded the TAME grant, facilitating expansion into new markets, as well as the Priming Grant, which covered expenses including salaries, capital investment, consultancy, and marketing costs. They also completed the Green for Business Programme, reinforcing Gigi’s commitment to eco-friendly practices by focusing on sustainable packaging and reducing their ecological impact. Participation in the Digital for Business Programme further enhanced their digital capabilities by integrating new systems to streamline operations.
In addition to funding, the Fingal LEO has provided Jennie and Lisa with valuable networking opportunities, such as the Fingal Enterprising Women’s Network, Fingal Business Network, and TOV seminars. They have also benefited from the mentoring programme, gaining expert insights to refine and grow their business.
