An All-Star accredited Party and Childcare centre based in Balbriggan, North County Dublin, PJ’s Party and Childcare is a vibrant, trusted business offering a wide range of services including fun-filled parties, seasonal camps, ECCE, part-time and full-time childcare, Afterschool Club, and School Tours.
As a business dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and comfortable environment for children, PJ’s also understands the importance of running an efficient and sustainable operation. In the face of rising energy costs and ageing infrastructure, the opportunity to apply for the Energy Efficiency Grant from the Local Enterprise Office Fingal came at just the right time.
With previous steps already taken to improve efficiency - such as upgrading to LED lighting - PJ’s saw the grant as the perfect opportunity to go further. They replaced an outdated gas heating system with a modern heat pump system, significantly improving energy performance across key areas of the facility.
Crucially, 75% of the cost was covered through the Energy Efficiency Grant, making this impactful investment possible.
The grant process also offered unexpected benefits: it prompted a deeper understanding of the business’s energy usage, helping guide smarter decisions in the future. With clear guidance and ongoing support from the LEO Fingal team, the entire process - from initial enquiry to final payment - was straightforward and well-supported.
