‘In Conversation with…’ Fingal Enterprising Women Network’s Online Initiative is a Resounding Success with Local Businesswomen

In conversation With Season 1

Over the past nine weeks, Fingal's Enterprising Women have demonstrated that "the new normal" need not be a barrier to business networking

Tuesday, June 16th, saw the conclusion of a marathon series of weekly online networking events with female entrepreneurs enjoying the unique opportunity to make connections while discussing key topics relevant to their business.

This dynamic series, themed ‘In Conversation with…’ was hosted by the Fingal Enterprising Women Network (FEWN) as part of the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Fingal’s support offerings in response to COVID-19. It featured several excellent speakers sharing their expertise on a wide range of topics.

Sinead Ryan, Personal Finance Journalist for the Irish Independent, talked about the importance of having a clear understanding of your money situation and shared invaluable tips on how to manage debts in a way that minimises financial burden.

Resilience Coach, Psychotherapist, and Best-selling Author of 'The Burnout Solution' Siobhan Murray gave a brilliantly insightful perspective on how to support business success through self-care. A timely topic as many women juggle work and home life in very changed circumstances.

Managing difficult conversations in challenging situations also featured as a hugely popular topic with Leadership & Communications Coach Paddy Lavelle explaining how to structure tough conversations to achieve the desired business outcome.

The business skills of sales, marketing, productivity, and online content creation were also covered, providing a highly practical toolkit to equip & empower our female entrepreneurs to move their businesses forward.

Speaking on the success of the “In Conversation with…” series, Ms AnnMarie Farrelly, Chief Executive of Fingal County Council said: ”Fingal County Council, through the Local Enterprise Office, is proud to have provided an online platform for businesswomen in the region, which has allowed them to connect with another and build much-needed support networks in these challenging times. We look forward to hopefully welcoming all our businesswomen soon when we can return to our regular scheduled events”.

Sharon Rossignuolo, Manager of FEWN, further added, "It has been inspirational to see women come together in the spirit of connection, generosity, and progress. I am confident that the business connections made over the past nine weeks will be highly beneficial to Fingal's women in business".

LEO Fingal looks forward to welcoming our women in business for our next online FEWN event on July 14th.
