This year's National Ploughing Championships took place from Tuesday the 19th of September until Thursday 21st of September in Ratheniska, County Laois. The National Ploughing Championships is an annual celebration of rural life, agriculture, and community. 31 small businesses from across the country got to display and sell their products to crowds of almost 300,000 in the Local Enterprise Village at the Ploughing. This year representing Local Enterprise Office Fingal was Sandra Hickey and her business Milk Bath. Milk Bath is a small business based in Lusk, North County Dublin.

Milk Bath is an innovative luxury bathing brand whose products use sustainably sourced Irish ingredients, Irish grass-fed cow's milk, organic Irish oats, Epsom salts and pure essential oils. Some products sold by Milk Bath include hand-crafted, award-winning bathing, sleep, and wellness products. Sandra uses natural ingredients because her daughter suffers from eczema and the Milk Bath relieves her sensitive skin. Milk Bath are a natural option for self-care, using Irish, locally, and sustainably sourced products. Their commitment to organic and sustainable values is evident through their fully recyclable packaging. Sandra offers Vegan Organic Coconut Milk as well as Irish Grass Fed Cow's Milk so nobody will be left out.

The Local Enterprise Village is a wonderful way to see a diverse range of businesses from each part of the country representing each local enterprise office. The LEO Village facilitates increased product exposure to potentially hundreds of thousands of people and connections over the three days. Sandra was delighted to meet President Michael D. Higgins and she even got to gift him her luxury Milk Bath product.

Sandra stated on the milkbath.ie Instagram page that she "stepped so far out of her comfort zone this week and it was terrifying, exciting, and exhausting! I have never been as scared or worked as hard in my life. I met the most amazing businesswomen this week, all of us covered in muck, having the best time while we worked our socks off and juggled so much for our small business goals."

The Head of Enterprise at LEO Fingal, Oisin Geoghegan was also at the event to support Sandra and greet the other business owners in the Local Enterprise Village. The heavy rain certainly did not stop anyone in the Local Enterprise Village from having a wonderful time and building connections throughout the three days.
