Restart Fingal: Popular Business Webinar Series Concludes as the County Begins to Open

As part of the drive to Restart Fingal, June saw a dynamic four-part series of online webinars hosted by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Fingal, which featured some of Ireland’s leading training experts.

Restart Fingal Season 1

The “Restart Fingal” Webinar Series, which attracted over 550 local businesses, was designed to equip business owners with the critical skills required to build confidence and resilience ahead of the reopening of the local economy.

The first webinar tackled the topic of sales with Executive & Sales Coach Sean Weafer encouraging businesses to “Stop Hesitating; Start Selling.” During this session, Sean shared a robust strategy designed to challenge the old perceptions of sales and replace them with a more trust-based approach, leading to increased revenue and more customers.

Episode 2, with Business Strategist Damien O’Brien, focussed on the fundamentals of “Building the Business You Want, Not the Business You Think You Want.” In this engaging two-hour webinar, Damien shared the methodology of creating a vision & purpose and then moving on towards an understanding of market trends & profiling of customers, all the while creating a solid foundation for achieving business goals.

“Transforming your Business with a Powerful Online Presence” was the topic of learning during a highly interactive Episode 3 with Social Media Expert Noel Davidson. In this session, business owners learned how to ensure their websites rank for the business they want to attract using the correct keywords. Noel also demonstrated how to use social media platforms like LinkedIn more effectively by using language and search terms that customers would use to find a particular product and service.

The fourth and final episode was an incredibly insightful session with ‘The Positive Economist’ Susan HayesCulleton, who presented the fundamental principles of “Building Financial & Mental Resilience in the Next Normal.” Susan shared a wealth of information around these two essential topics, focusing on the need to create a clear perspective while using the resources available to help you move forward with confidence in your business.

Acknowledging the conclusion of this hugely popular “Restart Fingal” series, the newly elected Mayor of Fingal, Cllr David Healy, said: “The “Restart Fingal” webinars are a reflection of the significant changes that we have been facing in terms of our working relationships. Fingal County Council and the Local Enterprise Office Fingal remain available to work with business as we move to the next phase of these ongoing changes. We look forward to restarting with our local community”,

Oisin Geoghegan, Chair of the LEO Network and Head of Enterprise in Fingal further added: ”The “Restart Fingal” series was a huge success to help local small businesses as they prepared to start operating again and adjusted to the “New Normal”. As the economy opens once again, LEO Fingal continues to respond decisively to the developing situation and is always open Fingal businesses looking for advice on making the best decisions going forward”.

While this webinar series has drawn to a close, LEO Fingal looks forward to continuing its commitment to supporting and assisting businesses as together; we restart Fingal.
