Enterprise Week Highlights Appetite for Business In Fingal

The enthusiasm for entrepreneurship is alive and well in Fingal as over 1500 small business owner managers and entrepreneurs from across the region attended this year’s Fingal Enterprise Week.

The Local Enterprise Office Fingal (LEO Fingal) organised the annual event with the aim of giving small business owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to gain insights and support from industry experts, key agencies and the business community. This year, Fingal Enterprise Week featured some 20 seminars, workshops and interactive events, attracting a wide range of small business managers and entrepreneurs from across the region.

As part of the week, Motorcheck.ie, a Swords-based online supplier of automotive data to the consumer and automotive trade, was announced as winner of the 2014 Fingal Enterprise Award. Three County Finalists of the inaugural ‘Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur’ competition were also revealed, each winning a share of the €50,000 investment fund provided by LEO Fingal.

This year's Fingal Enterprise Week was supported by Vodafone, Bank of Ireland and Regus. Oisin Geoghegan, Head of Enterprise in Fingal County Council has stated that LEO Fingal is already now planning to host the successful event again next year!
