Fingal’s female entrepreneurs focus on growing their business in 2017

“It’s so important to focus on building a business that will work for you” explained Joanne Hession of the Entrepreneur’s Academy. She was speaking at the Fingal Enterprising Women Network workshop last Tuesday to a full house of female entrepreneurs.

Over 50 female businesswomen congregated at the intensive workshop to learn how they can work more effectively on growing their business as opposed to getting caught up on a treadmill of firefighting in their business.

“Business owners spend so much time working in their business and often stop to question whether their business is actually working for them. It is important to enjoy the work you are doing, to be financially secure and to be able to enjoy pursuits outside of work. Is your business allowing you to do that and, if not, what you need to do make that happen” Joanne continued.

The workshop focused on practical steps that entrepreneurs could implement straight away to improve their own performance and that of their business. The session was intensive but it was filled with lots of valuable advice from the entrepreneurs about what is working for them. As always, it was also a great networking opportunity.

Speaking about future events planned over the coming year, Head of Enterprise in Fingal Oisín Geoghegan explained: “This is just one of our 4 annual events hosted by the Fingal Enterprising Women Network. The network is an initiative of the Local Enterprise Office Fingal. It provides networking and education events for women in business and enterprise in Fingal. Membership of the network is free of charge”.
