The Irish Exporters Association is encouraging applications for the Export Industry Awards from companies working in the export industry as the October 30th application deadline approaches.
The Export Industry Awards aim to recognise the remarkable achievements of companies working in the export industry. Companies can now choose to enter 11 distinct categories and will be in with a chance to be selected as the 2014 Exporter of the Year. All winners will be announced at an annual Gala Dinner on Friday, 21st November at the Convention Centre in Dublin.
The ‘Emerging Small Exporter of the Year’ Award is among the 11 categories and this year is sponsored by the Local Enterprise Offices. This award aims to distinguish the exceptional performance of micro and small companies either in the services or manufacturing sectors who are demonstrating export potential.
The category is open to all micro and small size companies in all sectors including first time exporters. Nominees must be in business for at least one fiscal year and a Nominee company must have demonstrable export potential and identified export sales to one or more international markets.
Companies are welcome to enter more than one category. The overall Exporter of the Year 2014 will be selected from the winners of the individual categories. A prestigious judges panel will decide the winners from a high standard group of applicants.
