Improper Butter wins Jumpstart 2014 competition

Improper ButterImproper Butter, founded by 24 year old Elaine Lavery in 2013, has won the Jumpstart 2014 competition. Which took place at The LINC Centre in the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown.

Improper Butter is a range of premium brand Irish flavoured butters that inspire creativity at mealtimes. The company combines grass-fed Irish creamery butter with fresh herbs and ingredients. A business package worth €25,000 including €10,000 cash investment was won by Lavery as part of JumpStart 2014.

Bobby Kerr, Judge and Insomnia chairman, said Improper Butter was “an innovative product that seems ready to take off”.“The combination of outsourced production and new supermarket listings means that Improper Butter is a business to watch for the future. “

A special runner up prize was also awarded to Padraig Brosnan of Treasure Delta. Based in The Digital Hub, Treasury Delta is developing an innovative online solution to help companies engage with their banks on their core banking activities. Their platform will allow companies to easily communicate their banking requirements to those banks operating in their marketplace in a highly secure and confidential manner.
