AI & Cyber Resilience

This programme aims to equip participants to use AI tools safely and ethically in their businesses, and to comply with relevant regulations such as GDPR. It will raise participants’ awareness of the opportunities and risks of AI, and help them to recognise and avoid cyber threats that may pose a risk to the business. Participants will leave with a clear action plan on what AI tools and protective measures they can implement in their businesses.

Module 1: AI for SMEs: Opportunities, Risks & Compliance

• Understand what AI is (and what it isn’t).
• Recognise simple, practical AI tools relevant to SMEs.
• Understand key risks, especially around data protection & GDPR.
• Be aware of upcoming EU AI regulations and how they affect small businesses.
• Develop clear first steps on how to safely and responsibly explore AI for their business.

Module 2: Cyber Security for Small Business

• Identify common cyber threats that pose risks to small businesses.
• Recognise potential vulnerabilities within your business operations, digital infrastructure, and data.
• Implement cyber security best practices, including data protection, employee training, and secure online behaviours.
• Appreciate the importance of incident response planning and the initial steps in creating an incident response plan.
• Discover useful online resources, tools, and support organisations for further cybersecurity education and assistance.
• Engage in dynamic discussions, share experiences, and learn from the insights and experiences of other participants.
