The Student Enterprise Programme is Ireland's largest student entrepreneurship initiative, encouraging secondary school students to develop entrepreneurial skills through the experience of creating, running and promoting their own mini-businesses. The programme plays a vital role in fostering innovation, creativity and enterprise awareness among young people throughout County Longford.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual or organisation to coordinate and deliver the programme across Longford's second-level schools from August 2026 through to the National Student Enterprise Programme Finals in May 2027.
Key Responsibilities
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
- Promoting the programme across all second-level schools in County Longford.
- Encouraging and supporting maximum student participation.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to schools and students throughout the programme.
- Coordinating workshops, meetings and support activities.
- Maintaining participation records and programme reporting.
- Assisting students in preparing for county and national finals.
- Developing promotional and publicity materials and engaging with local media.
Who Should Apply?
Applications are welcome from individuals, consultants or organisations with:
- Experience in enterprise education, youth development or business mentoring.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience delivering education, training or enterprise programmes.
- The capacity to work closely with schools, students and stakeholders across the county.
- Current Garda Vetting certification
