Mother Earth / Just Cacao

Based in Fingal, Mother Earth Wellness Co. is a family run Irish business providing a full range of natural products sourced from around the world. Their story started in South America where they were introduced to cacao, an ancient superfood known as ‘the food of the gods’. Prepared as a hot chocolate drink and packed with antioxidants and minerals, they liked it so much that they decided to bring it to Ireland! This is how their flagship product ‘Just Cacao’ was born, a beautiful hot chocolate drink using only the purest Venezuelan cacao, bursting with health benefits. As demand grew, so too did their offering. They researched and sampled cacao from across the world to the extent that they now offer cacao from Venezuela, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru and India, among others.

Through their research and relationships with different providers, they have also been introduced to other natural wellness products, and they have broadened their offering to include matcha, wellness teas, functional mushrooms and seamoss, among a range of other lifestyle products.

Mother Earth’s mission is rooted in honouring sustainability and supporting indigenous farming preparation methods. They work with and support local farmers and women’s collectives to produce and pack their cacao and teas. The farmers and the women’s collectives are paid a fair wage and the ethos is to “Give back to the Source”. 

Mother Earth Wellness Co. has worked closely with the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Fingal to strengthen its digital presence and business strategy. The company first engaged through seminars and networking events, gaining practical insights into scaling a wellness brand in a competitive market.

In August 2025, Just Cacao/Mother Earth Wellness Co. received a Grow Digital grant, enabling the team to enhance its online platforms and improve customer engagement and to take the step to rebrand as MotherEarth.ie. They also availed of the Digital for Business initiative, which supported the integration of digital tools to streamline operations and boost e-commerce performance. Looking ahead, the company plans to accelerate growth in 2026  and to expand its product offering.

These supports have helped “Mother Earth Wellness Co” to build a strong foundation for sustainable growth while staying true to its mission of promoting wellness and ethical sourcing.
