PRM Assist has grown significantly since its early beginnings as a LEO Fingal client, progressing through key supports before moving into the Enterprise Ireland portfolio. This latest investment marks an important milestone in its development and reinforces the strength of its innovative platform designed to empower passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs).
From Early-Stage Support to International Growth
PRM Assist’s journey with LEO Fingal began in late 2021, when the company received a Feasibility Study Grant to explore market viability and the technical potential of their app. Building on these foundations, the company secured a Priming Grant in 2022, which supported product development, user testing and early-stage scaling.
Throughout this period, PRM Assist collaborated with leading organisations such as Dublin Airport, the National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI), and Spinal Injuries Ireland, ensuring the platform was built around real-world PRM user needs.
Today, the PRM Assist app enables passengers to book and manage airport assistance, receive real-time updates on waiting times and gate changes, communicate directly with assistance teams and access a growing marketplace of PRM‑focused services.
Award-Winning Success
PRM Assist has achieved notable recognition at local and national level, including:
- Fingal Enterprise Award Winner (2024)
- Dublin Regional Award Winner at the National Enterprise Awards (2024)
- Winner at the Fingal Chamber Business Awards (2024)
- LAMA Award Winner (2025)
Founder Conor Halpin first engaged with LEO Fingal as a student, winning the Student Enterprise Award while attending St. Colmcille’s School in Swords—highlighting a long-standing entrepreneurial connection with Fingal.
€500K Investment to Accelerate Global Expansion
The newly announced €500,000 funding will support PRM Assist as it expands into new international markets, including the United States, Canada and the Middle East. The €500,000 funding round was led by Enterprise Ireland, alongside serial investor Paul McKeon. The company’s vision is to create a globally interoperable platform connecting airports, service providers and passengers, transforming accessibility within the aviation sector and improving the travel experience for people with reduced mobility worldwide.
