QuickBooks Desktop Discontinuance

What does this mean for my business?

• In effect this means that any business currently using any version of QuickBooks Desktop will not have access to their file effective COB 30 June 2023 and will therefore have to consider an alternative Accounting System of their choice.
• You must move to another accounting system - of which there are many. 
• Intuit QuickBooks offers the services of third parties to handle partial migration to QuickBooks Online - but clearly state this is entirely a decision of the business owner, with no recourse or support. 
• These third parties provide a limited conversion service - and they also take no responsibility for the outcome result.
• This means that all current QuickBooks Desktop users who haven't done so, need to plan as a matter of urgency, what alternative accounting system they intend to use.

• Move to another accounting system - Sage, Xero, Freshbooks, Zoho, Clearbooks ... ... there are many options
• Moving from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online - New File Setup with Brought-forward Balances - customer balances, supplier balances, namk & credit card balances.
