Workshop outline

The Smartphone Photography Workshop is a full day practical workshop and talk aimed at companies/individuals who are struggling to get images for their social media, eCommerce and websites. The workshop will help improve your imagery and overcome specific issues that arise.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along their their own product and any props they feel are relevant, which they can photograph during the workshop. They are also encouraged to bring along any older images they might have and we can assess them and deal with any specific issues that the participant has with the shots.

Workshop Content

Introduction

• Best Smartphone Photography practice with limited resources
• Using simple equipment and daylight

Practical Photoshoot

• Photograph own products using pre-set up table top, an aerial view and an ecommerce photography shoot
• Moving to other studio set ups participants can photograph their products and feel the benefit of the hands on experience
• Any issues arising will be dealt with so the attendee will have the confidence to continue the process after the workshop
• Introduction to simple photo retouching using apps available to download for free
• How to prepare images for social media and web sites

Workshop Outcomes

• Gain a better understanding of using the best ambient light for their shoots
• Improved skills on using your smartphone for photography and preparing images for social media
• Learn how to set up a studio at your workshop, office and home using simple equipment and ambient light
• Understanding the importance of having the best quality packaging, raw materials and props to hand for the shoot
• Understanding the the importance of having their product looking at its absolute best best a shoot!

Each participant will receive a PDF booklet covering all the topics mentioned during the workshop and a series of links to relevant web sites
