EURES

What is European Employment Services (EURES)?

The purpose of EURES is to provide information, advice and recruitment/placement (job-matching) services for the benefit of workers and employers as well as any citizen wishing to benefit from the principle of the free movement of persons within the EU/EEA.

European Recruitment Service

Employers who have difficulty recruiting staff in Ireland or who wish to broaden their skill base can get access to jobseekers in other EU and EEA countries with help from EURES. EURES advisers are Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection staff who are specialised in European recruitment and mobility matters. They are available to assist employers by offering expert advice on recruiting in Europe for specialised or hard-to-fill vacancies. They are part of the European Network of more than 1,000 EURES Advisers, working together to satisfy recruitment needs of Employers.

Advertise your vacancy in Europe

Your vacancies can be advertised on the EURES Jobs Mobility Portal for the attention of jobseekers in Europe via the Jobs Ireland website or by phoning the Employment Service National Call Centre at 1890 800 024 (from Northern Ireland: 00353 1 2481398).

Focused Recruitment Campaigns in Europe

In many instances specially tailored European recruitment projects can be established for individual employers. This means your vacancy will be advertised in one or more European Countries, CVs will be collected and screened for you and interviews can be organised in Europe on your behalf. If required, we can organise an individual jobs fair for your company in any of the EU/EEA countries. Contact your local EURES adviser for more information.
