This 4 week programme will feature practical business modules with case studies and guest speakers to help you develop a business idea to increase your farm income. Delivered by LEO Limerick in conjunction with TEAGASC.

This course will help you develop ideas and examine the next steps to diversify your farm income.  At the end of the course, you will have developed an action plan for your new enterprise.

Explore potential business opportunities on your farm including:

  • Identifying the critical steps for developing your new business
  • Time management for farmers
  • Idea generation and market research
  • Developing your business model including price point, costings and financial management
  • Routes to market: Approaching suppliers and customers
  • Developing effective marketing/PR strategies
  • Financial planning: Funding and supports available
  • Essential steps to completing a business plan

The course is interactive and designed with practical examples and case studies.  Each participant will receive a training manual.
