The Application Process Explained
The project promoter arranges to meet with LEO staff to discuss the project in detail. If your business proposal is one that may qualify for grant aid, you will be requested to complete an application form to be submitted along with full business plan and financial statements, quotes etc
A completed application form, along with the supporting documentation is then submitted to the LEO Clare.
Additional clarification or information may be sought by LEO Clare staff.
The application is then submitted to the Evaluation & Approvals Committee for consideration. This committee comprises of the business community, financial institutions and Chief Executive of Clare County Council. All documentation relating to the application is submitted to the committee one week before the actual meeting.
The Head of LEO informs the project promoter in writing of the Evaluation & Approvals Committee's decision. In the case of approval, a formal letter of offer and terms and conditions attaching to the grant offer will also be issued. In the case of refusal, a formal letter will issue detailing the reason behind the decision.
Also if refused, you have the right to appeal to the committee.
