Local Enterprise Office Clare (LEO Clare) Schools Enterprise Programme works with teachers and students in second level schools to develop an enterprise culture in the county.

LEO Clare delivers the Local Enterprise Offices National Student Enterprise Awards Programme in second level schools across the county. This exciting initiative is open to all secondary school students. Teachers receive support from the staff of the LEO's regarding the delivery of the Student Enterprise Awards, and also receive a teachers handbook and DVD. Student receive their own student handbook along with support and guidance from the LEO's and it's mentors. The aim of the awards is to facilitate and assist students in the establishment and running of their own business during the school year.

Student businesses attend the County Final which is organised by LEO Clare. There are 3 categories - Junior (1st Year), Intermediate (2nd & 3rd Year) and Senior (TY, Leaving Certificate). An overall winner at each level is chosen to represent their school, County and LEO Clare at the National Student Enterprise Awards which are held in Dublin in March/ April.
