Changes to the national tendering platform, eTenders

The national tendering platform, eTenders, is changing on 15 May 2023, and it’s important that businesses are ready for the new platform.

From 15 May onwards, you will be able to log on to the new platform through the existing address (etenders.gov.ie) and re-input some information, along with some additional details. It’s important that you make these updates so that you receive alerts for any procurement competitions that are relevant to you. It is advised that you allocate around 20 minutes to update your information. Once you have updated all of your details, you will be able to fully access the new platform.

This is a new platform, and the user experience may take time to get used to. You will have the full week, from 15 May to 21 May, to familiarise yourself with the new platform before any new competitions are published. Supports, including training webinars, are also available to support you in the transition.

Contracting authorities have been asked to hold off on publishing any new competitions until 22 May 2023, to allow time for businesses to become familiar with the new platform.

Webinars will take place between 11 May and 19 May 2023. Each webinar session will provide an overview of the new platform and will last for 2.5 hours. Places on these webinars will be limited, but if you unable to attend the webinars live, you will be able to watch recordings on gov.ie/ogp. You can find more information on registering for these webinars here.
