This workshop is designed to allow participants to gain an understanding of what it takes to gain customers and to build a business by well-developed sales skills.  It will look at the way to do this in today’s competitive environment and will provide key tips for cost effective measurable sales activity. 

The session will lead to increased awareness of the techniques, terminology and processes involved in developing sales strategies for small businesses.

Understand the selling process and be able to develop a sales action plan:

  • The Selling Process – how and what am I selling 
  • Developing a selling approach 
  • Identifying potential customer – ‘Drawing up a list of suspects’ / Prospecting 
  • Minimising time-wasting sales activity 
  • Developing a Sales Plan for success 
  • Develop an ability to deliver a high impact elevator pitch 
  • Providing exceptional customer care 
  • Gain an insight into how to target potential customers in a timely and cost-effective manner

  • Sales techniques and approaches 
  • Understanding your own personal selling style and how to improve it 
  • Setting sales targets and developing a sales plan 
  • Getting ready for the sale and getting the appointment 
  • Asking the right questions! 
  • Learning to read body language in sales and overcoming objections 
  • Developing your listening skills to better understand customers 
  • Developing your Elevator Pitch 
  • Making the most of the sales encounter 
  • Closing effectively 
  • Analysis of cost-efficient tools to forecast and plan for future sales 
  • Participants will present a sales pitch to fellow participants at the end of this session.
