PAUL Partnership in conjunction with the Local Enterprise Office Limerick will be hosting a hybrid Bookkeeping course “Bookkeeping Basics for Small Business Start-ups” commencing Thursday 20th March over 6 Thursday mornings.

AIM: To provide participants with an understanding of basic accounting practices to be applied in their business.


OBJECTIVES: By the end of this programme, you will:

✓Know how to maintain basic books and records
✓Understand Accounting terminology & Accounting practices
✓Understand VAT, PAYE & Revenue compliance obligations


THE PROGRAMME COVERS:

  • Bookkeeping why bother?
  • Preparation of books & records – Purchases, Sales, Cash books Setting up your Bank Account.
  • Bank Reconciliation.
  • Your business and the role of the Revenue Commissioners.
  • Allowable expenses.
  • Business structures & relevant compliance for each.
