National Womens Enterprise Day 2026

Join the National Women’s Enterprise Day celebrations as the Sligo Local Enterprise Office and Leitrim Local Enterprise Office come together to present an inspiring evening of conversation, connection and local pride.

Home Grown celebrates women whose careers, businesses and creative journeys have been shaped by the North West. Hosted by Dr Janine Van Someren, facilitator of the Sligo Women in Business Network, this engaging panel discussion will explore the opportunities and challenges of building a career in the region and the connections that keep these inspiring women rooted here.

Joining us on the night are: 

• Anna Vahey: award-winning designer and founder of luxury fashion brand Ana Faye, whose handcrafted designs have earned international recognition while remaining proudly rooted in the North West.
• Joanna Sweeney: lecturer at Atlantic Technological University, author, musician and sustainability advocate, whose work explores tourism, culture, heritage and regenerative living.
• Lily Murphy: executive leadership coach and Positive Intelligence practitioner, who empowers women to build confidence, strengthen their leadership presence and achieve career success.

Guests will enjoy an evening of insightful conversation, networking and inspiration, along with a selection of drinks and hot food showcasing the best of local producers and businesses from Sligo and Leitrim.
