Enterprise Week - International Women’s Day Event

Local agencies join forces to celebrate International Women’s Day

As part of International Women’s Day, a number of key Waterford business agencies are coming together to host a morning event ‘It’s All About YOU – Celebrate Your Uniqueness’ on Thursday, March 8th, in the Large Room, City Hall, with CEO of Catalyst International Dee Hutchinson.

Waterford Local Enterprise Office is joining forces with Waterford Chamber, Waterford Micro Business Network, Waterford Chamber Skillnet and Network Ireland, Waterford for this event as part of the nationally co-ordinated ‘Local Enterprise Week’ which takes place around the country from March 4th to March 9th.

Dee Hutchinson will lead a workshop to explore competitive advantages that women can have, in business and their careers, when they embrace and leverage their authentic selves.  Too often women disguise facets of their personalities to ‘fit in’ when this is counterintuitive to progress and success.  Participants will take part in interactive games, discussions, and activities to identify their qualities, characteristics and behaviours that make them unique and how they can leverage these attributes to propel them forward in their careers.

Dee is CEO of a learning and development company based in the United Arab Emirates.  A native of Tramore, Co. Waterford, Dee has worked in over 15 countries holding senior level Customer Care and Learning and Development roles for companies like Vodafone, Digicel, Accenture, Deloitte Consulting and Virgin Mobile.

She is also the bestselling author of ‘The Hard Facts About Soft Skills’ published in early 2017.  She has been the recipient of over 30 industry awards including one for her contribution to the development of a call centre in the Middle East.

Dee now specialises in the design of bespoke online coaching and transformation programs targets at female entrepreneurs.  She supports ambitious women from Peru to Australia to show up fully in their careers and businesses.

This event includes:

  •  Networking
  •  Workshop
  •  Pop Up Talks from Local Business Women (businesses to be confirmed in the next day or two)
  •  Breakfast and light lunch

Registration from 8.30am.
