Learners will build a baseline understanding of budgeting as a vital financial tool.

Attending this course will equip business owners with the skills to be able to interpret, analyse and make decisions based on forecasts created by themselves

This 3 hour course teaches business owners the tools needed to project the balance sheet and statements of income and cash flow.

The basic skills and components needed to create forecasts will be outlined.

Business owners need to make the correct decisions based on data available

  • To use budget to assist with financial control

CONTENT:

  • Why prepare a financial forecast?
  • Overview profit and loss, cashflow and balance sheet
  • Where to start in preparing your own projected financials
  • Preparing sales projections
  • Preparing overhead budgets
  • Using profit margins
  • Drafting projected profit and loss account
  • Drafting projected cashflows – annual, weekly, daily
  • Using projections/forecasts to make sound business decisions
