The aim of this 6-week course is to cover several areas essential for record keeping and completing a VAT return for a small business or start-up together with an in-depth understanding of basic accounting principles and an overview of the Revenue Online system (ROS). The course also covers important topics such as debtors and creditors, bank reconciliation, expenses, assets and liabilities, and profit and loss accounts.
Overview of the Training Programme:
An easy-to-understand 150-page manual is provided to each participant which includes practical information and guidance, comprehensive notes, together with templates and links for future reference.
This course covers several areas essential for record keeping and completing a tax return for a small business or start-up together with an in-depth understanding of basic accounting principles and an overview of the Revenue Online system (ROS). The course also covers important topics such as debtors and creditors, bank reconciliation, expenses, assets and liabilities, and profit and loss accounts and balance sheets. The participant should leave with a better understanding of record keeping and VAT returns for their business as well as understanding the tax system.
The Basic Bookkeeping and Taxation program is delivered through in person class at the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis, over 6 classes. Participation and discussion are always encouraged by the Trainer and there are regular Q&A sessions on various topics.
