"Creative Leadership: Aligning Vision, Voice & Impact"
The following is a brief outline of each of the 4 workshops that will be delivered as part of the creative leadership training programme:
Session 1. Your Creative Leadership Philosophy
Duration: 3 hours
Aim: Support creatives in exploring their personal values, purpose, and leadership identity to guide decisions, direction, and growth.
Objectives:
- Distinguish between creative leadership and traditional managerial approaches.
- Explore leadership styles and how they apply in creative and freelance contexts.
- Reflect on personal purpose, values, and impact as a creative professional.
- Articulate a personal leadership philosophy rooted in authenticity and creative direction.
Session 2. Creating Value Through Connection
Duration: 3 hours
Aim: Enable creatives to lead with impact by understanding and connecting with their ideal audience or clients, crafting meaningful value, and building alignment around their creative purpose.
Objectives:
- Understand the customer journey and define key touchpoints for engagement.
- Develop customer personas to clarify audience needs, desires, and motivations.
- Explore the Bain Value Pyramid and use it to communicate the emotional and functional value of their offerings.
- Craft a compelling value proposition that aligns with personal creative purpose and audience connection.
Session 3. Communicating and Collaborating for Creative Impact
Duration: 3 hours
Aim: Equip creatives with effective communication and collaboration skills to build relationships, share vision, and co-create with clarity and confidence.
Objectives:
- Apply storytelling and visual communication principles to communicate creative value.
- Understand models of creative collaboration (client work, co-design, partnerships).
- Practice techniques for engaging diverse stakeholders, funders, or audiences.
- Build confidence in managing feedback and navigating conflict constructively.
Session 4. Creative Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
Duration: 3 hours
Aim: Develop the creative entrepreneurâs ability to solve problems, make decisions, and navigate uncertainty using intuitive and structured approaches.
Objectives:
- Explore how creatives navigate ambiguity and overcome blocks.
- Apply design thinking tools to address real-world challenges.
- Use decision-making techniques to align action with values and vision.
- Reflect on risk-taking, learning from failure, and moving forward with clarity.
- Dates: Wednesdays 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd October 2025
