Overview
This transnational webinar explores how Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) can support food, non-food and tourism SMEs in the Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) region. The webinar is organised as part of the GIFT project, an Interreg NPA–funded initiative supporting SMEs in remote regions to improve competitiveness through Geographical Indications (GI).
Working with partners in Finland, Ireland, Iceland and Greenland, GIFT raises awareness of PGI, shares practical experiences from different countries and highlights how PGI can strengthen product identity, marketing, regional branding and links to tourism. The webinar will introduce the project’s aims and activities, explain the PGI process, and outline key challenges and opportunities.
