Accessing Skills , Resources and Innovation Through Academia - A Practical Workshop for Organisations

Many businesses recognise the value of engaging with universities but often find it difficult to identify the right entry point or collaboration model. This interactive session introduces a challenge-based approach that helps companies move from a defined business need to a clear, realistic next step for collaboration. Participants will test existing ATU industry engagement pathways, explore a real industry–student collaboration case study from Norway, and examine practical, low-risk ways to engage with academic expertise.

 

The session is hosted by Noel Mulkeen, Innovation Manager at ATU, and David Aleksander Bjørsvik, Nord University Business School, Norway and delivered by AIM Centre in partnership with Atlantic Technological University (ATU).

Practical Sustainability & ESG Reporting Workshop for SMEs

This hands-on workshop focuses on reducing reporting burden by concentrating on what matters most. Participants will work through a practical, low-effort workflow, identify sustainability data they already hold, explore suitable tools for SMEs, and understand how digital solutions and AI can support reporting without unnecessary complexity.

Reimagining Supply Chains Through Interconnectivity Workshop

Organisations are under increasing pressure to improve supply chain visibility, responsiveness and resilience. This workshop explores how linking demand signals, operational data and partner systems can enable more effective planning and execution across supply networks. The session includes an overview of the Arctic Edge project, insights into cybersecurity considerations in MQTT-enabled connectivity, a live pilot demonstration, and an interactive discussion on participant priorities and opportunities.

 

This workshop is delivered by AIM Centre, with contributions from Dr Seamus Dowling (ATU) and Kushagra Krishna Agrawal, AI Solutions Engineer at AIM Centre.
