Social Media MashUp

Now in its 7th year, the Social Media MashUp is one of Local Enterprise Week’s most popular annual events, bringing together small businesses that want to stay ahead of what’s changing in the digital and social media space.

This year’s event will focus on emerging social media and digital trends for 2026, what’s new, what’s coming next, and what small businesses should be paying attention to now. With platforms, algorithms and consumer behaviour evolving rapidly, this session is designed to help you cut through the hype and understand what will genuinely matter for your business in the year ahead.

Topics will include:

  • Key social media trends shaping 2026

  • How AI is influencing content creation, discovery and engagement

  • What changes in algorithms and platforms mean for small businesses

  • New ways customers are finding and interacting with brands online

  • Where to focus your time and effort, and what to ignore

This is a practical, insight-led session aimed at helping businesses make informed decisions about their digital presence, rather than chasing every new trend.

Whether you’re a small business, entrepreneur, or marketing professional, this session will empower you with the knowledge and tools to stay relevant, competitive, and digitally resilient in 2025 and beyond.

Today, she speaks and moderates regularly on brand clarity, entrepreneurship and the strategic use of AI, helping business owners cut through noise, sharpen their message and build brands that stand out for the right reasons.

Teresanne will open the morning and deliver a talk on AI & Brand Clarity for Social Media: How to Use AI Without Losing Your Voice.

In this session, Teresanne O’Reilly will explore how to use AI strategically within your social media marketing, not as a shortcut, but as a tool to sharpen positioning, validate ideas and create content that genuinely reflects your brand. With so much noise around AI right now, this talk focuses on clarity: how to ensure AI strengthens your voice rather than diluting it. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for using AI to support strategic thinking within their businesses, protect brand identity and produce more intentional, effective social content.
