Wed 10th December 2025 - 10.00am-1.00pm at The Old Ground Hotel, Ennis

Local Enterprise Office Clare is delighted to welcome Peigín Crowley of GROUND as our guest speaker for our upcoming Women In Business networking event.

Join us for a festive morning of networking & knowledge sharing & let's celebrate the strength, resilience & achievements of women in business together!

We are delighted to have Peigin speak about her journey to date. In part one of her presentation, Peigin will speak on a Master class in selfcare & business resilience - Learning your Body's Language to rest deeply & digest fully. She will then move on to talk about her entrepreneurial journey, starting on the background to GROUND & moving on to diversification & reinvention, investment & funding for stages of business - from ideation to scaling, tips for business owners & managing the juggle and caring for yourself.
Our first guest speaker is Georgie Browne of AxisBIC, who is the Head of Programmes at AxisBIC. Georgie champions founders & high-growth startups across Cork, Kerry, Clare & Limerick. With dual master’s degrees in Digital Marketing & Data Analytics and Applied & Positive Psychology, Georgie blends sharp business strategy with deep insight into mindset and leadership. She has delivered training & has spoken at global organisations including Verizon, EY, Meta & Microsoft. Passionate about empowering entrepreneurs — especially women in business — Georgie brings energy, clarity and encouragement to help others achieve their potential.

Peigin Crowley

Peigín Crowley, Founder of GROUND

Founder of GROUND, Peigín Crowley has almost 30 years of experience in the spa industry, a true wellness curator at heart, Peigín designs award-winning spa experiences and products with a strong focus on wellbeing for the most luxurious resort destinations in the world such as The Four seasons, Jumeirah, Rosewood & Bulgari.

GROUND was born at the kitchen table in 2020, deep in lockdown. PeigÍn was unafraid to depart from traditional spa menus focused on beauty, pampering, and anti-aging, instead developing treatments and products that address anxiety, insomnia, hormone fluctuations, burnout, gut health & cancer care. Her mission is to encourage us all to slow down and connect inwards in order to achieve longevity through purposeful self-care and education.

Peigín lives in Cork with her husband Shane and their two daughters, Anna Louise and Bella. She spends her time working with her 'world class' team, growing and developing her brand and learning everyday.

Sinead Crowley

Sinead Crowley, CoFounder AwakenHub & AwakenAngels

Cork native Sinead Crowley is an entrepreneur, strategic innovator and co-founder of AwakenHub and AwakenAngels, two game-changing communities unlocking capital, confidence and connection for women founders across Ireland and beyond. Her mission: to remove barriers for women entrepreneurs and democratise investment for and by women.

With 30 years of experience driving bold ideas and building inclusive ecosystems, Sinead has led EU and European Space Agency-funded initiatives, created global business networks, built mentoring programmes from the ground up and is heavily involved with the Irish Diaspora. Along with her co-founders she’s committed to creating an environment where women understand, discuss and access funding and support with a focus on action, equity and authentic connection.

Whether you're launching your first venture, scaling your next big idea or looking to start your investor journey, Sinead brings the kind of insight, energy and generosity that turns conversations into catalysts and gatherings into movements.
