Countdown is on to 8^th annual Local Food and Craft Gift Fair

In a packed Galway events calendar, it’s difficult to choose which events should qualify as unmissable. One such event is the annual Food, Craft and Gift Fair, held over 2 days in the Black Box Theatre.

Presented by Local Enterprise Office Galway, over 50 producers and makers will descend on the venue to showcase their products on Saturday and Sunday, the 30^th of November and 1^st of December.

Admission is free, and visitors can browse through the stands sampling products and getting invaluable ideas for unique, locally-made gifts.

A wide range of local food producers will be on hand to showcase and discuss a wide range of products including jams, jellies, chutneys, cakes, cheeses, vegan foods, juices, and microbrews. Craft makers will display their beautiful creations including handmade ceramics, leather goods, wooden products, household items, gifts, jewellery and much more.

There will be lots of activities to make this the perfect event for all the family. There will be refreshments on-site and entertainment for the kids.

The idea for this event began in 2011, when LEO Galway developed a network to engage with local food producers, craft makers and designers.

There was a need for a large-scale event where local businesses could meet with prospective customers, sell and showcase products, grow brand awareness, and get feedback from customers.

Most small start-up enterprises cannot afford to open and staff their own retail outlet, so this event presents a wonderful opportunity to meet new and existing customers and gain valuable feedback on their products.

The Local Enterprise Office will host its annual Local Food, Craft and Gift Fair on Saturday 30^th November and Sunday 1st of December.

Opening hours are Saturday 10am - 6pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm at the Black Box Theatre, Dyke Road, Galway.
