Damien McNamara is the founder of Fury VR Ltd. - Ireland's largest provider of virtual reality (VR) experiences.

Damien, who holds a PhD in Computer Science and is a graduate of Limerick Institute of Technology, first discovered the idea for creating virtual reality experiences from reading about the concept which was in operation in Scotland (where it had been imported from Canada), and decided to bring this concept to Ireland. Fury VR was established in November 2016 and built by Damien using cutting edge technology, powered by high-spec gaming systems and consoles.

Fury VR is based in the heart of Limerick City and boasts 10 virtual reality zones and two vehicle simulators that offer 16 experiences which can be embarked on by groups or individuals - from a range of games to educational programmes, including a virtual tour inside the human body in a capsule!

Damien McNamara has received support from the Limerick Local Enterprise Office to help start and grow his business.
