Local Enterprise Week 2020 takes place the first week of March, and this year we have a wide variety of events, to show you exactly what kind of services and events the LEO runs throughout the year. You’re invited to join us at any and all our events, come meet us, and pick our brains about what we can do for you!

Let’s check out what’s happening:

Monday 2nd March

Local Enterprise Week kicks off in UCC, with Smart Tech in your City and County. We’ll hear from digital reps from the Local Authorities of Cork, on what they’re doing to meet the expectations of the public using new and innovative smart technologies. What’s more, it’s an opportunity for businesses to hear what exciting new research priorities are happening for CIT and UCC. Get the full lowdown here

Tuesday 3rd March

Tuesday is an ‘everyday’ for the LEO – we have a TOV Seminar in County Hall, and a Business Advice Clinic in Youghal Library. What are these? you ask; let us tell you!

Trading Online Voucher is popularly know as ‘the website grant’. Up to €2500 is available to your business in match funding  to do up your website, and increase your sales. Come along to our two-hour seminar to learn more about the most accessible of grants

A Business Advice Clinic is one hour free appointment with an expert mentor. They are held weekly in our office, but with rising demand, we’re now holding them in major towns in the region, and this one comes to the mighty town of Youghal – check out the full range of dates and locations here!

Wednesday 4th March

AgriTech: Business Solutions for Smarter Farming, our flagship event, is happening at Castlemartyr Resort, East Cork. is major event has speakers from across the agricultural space, including Fiona Edwards-Murphy of ApisProtect, James Maloney of Enterprise Ireland, and Tom Flanagan of NovaUCD. Come join us to discover what smart technology can do for sustainability and smarter farming. Last year's event was a huge success, and we know this year's will be bigger and better still!

Thursday 5th March

Just like Tuesday, we have a Business Advice Clinic in Cobh Library, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the harbour as you meet our Business Advisor Joe Kelleher. In the evening, in Vertigo at County Hall, we have an evening dedicated to introducing LEAN principles, facilitated by the SouthWest LEAN Forum, overlooking the evening city lights!

Friday 6th March

We close off the week with the annual Innovation Awards in CIT. This is an annual competition that awards cash prizes to those whose inventions and business ideas are judged most creative, novel, innovative, and likely to succeed in the marketplace. This is open to the public, and absolutely worth checking out what kind of creativity is at play in CIT. No registration required, just rock up to CIT on Friday!
