National Women’s Enterprise Day aims to inspire, motivate and support women across the country in running their own business.

The aim of National Women’s Enterprise Day is to encourage even more women to set up their own businesses and to increase national recognition of the essential role played by Ireland’s female entrepreneurs.  The event consists of a variety of developmental support actions, including inspiring speakers, information provision, exhibition of state supports for enterprise, facilitated business networking and one to one business mentoring.  The NWED 2014 brochure is now available to download click here.

Delegate rate of €100 applies that covers full conference programme, supper on October 22nd and lunch on October 23rd. 

Keynote speakers at this year's event are Fiona Stack, CEO, Radio Kerry and Leonora O'Brien, CEO & Founder at Pharmapod Ltd.

This event, hosted by the Local Enterprise Offices, is co-financed by the European Social Fund with support from the Department of Justice and Equality, through the Equality for Women initiative.

National Women's Enterprise Day 2013 took place last October at Portlaoise Heritage Hotel, Co Laois.  Keynote speakers at NWED 2013 were: Ramona Nicholas, Cara Pharmacy and Dragons' Den 2013, Eleanor Mc Evoy, Budget Energy and Kathleen Lynch T.D., Minister for Disability, Equality, Mental Health and Older People.

Advice, mentoring and networking are key elements of National Women's Enterprise Day with a panel of experienced mentors available.  Successful businesswomen share their experiences with start-up companies and fledgling businesses.
