Pitch Perfect is a Local Enterprise Office Waterford competition for Start Ups, and it’s calling all those with a new innovative idea or who have recently started a business to apply today.
Cash and industry prizes to be won!
Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Waterford, ArcLabs Research and Innovation Centre and Boxworks have joined forces to deliver a Start Up Competition for those with an innovative business idea or those already in business trading less than 18 months.
Praveen Kaur is the founder of Uoto and was last year’s winner of Pitch Perfect, “I’m so grateful to have been put in touch the Local Enterprise Office, they’ve been a great help from the first meeting. The Pitch Perfect competition was such fun and really inspiring.”
The programme invites applications for two categories:
- Best Business Idea
- Best Start-Up Business (trading < 18 months)
Participants will be guided through the initial stages of developing their idea/business. Successful applicants will be selected for a Business Boot camp where they can perfect their pitch before presenting to panel of judges.
The bootcamp will be delivered by the Entrepreneurs Academy for free to a limited number of participants over the course of a day and a half, on 26th & 27th April 2024. Spaces are limited and those interested are invited to complete an expression of interest to be part of the event. This programme is only open to those based in Waterford.
Head of Enterprise at the Local Enterprise Office Waterford is Gareth Evans, he expressed his excitement for this competition, “Starting your own business can be daunting so to have a programme like this, which is also a competition is the perfect way for us to find and help the latest batch of entrepreneurs in Waterford. It also gives them vital skills they will need over the next few years, not to mention financial assistance for the winners.”
