Local Enterprise Office confirms Paul & Olivia Mc Nally of Mc Nally Denture that will represent Carlow at

National Enterprise Awards in May

Small businesses from all parts of County Carlow were the big winners at this year’s County Enterprise Awards, organised by Local Enterprise Office (Carlow)

The top prize of €2,000 went to Paul & Olivia Mc Nally of Mc Nally Denture of Carlow Town who will represent the county at the annual National Enterprise Awards in Dublin this May.

Other winners at the awards ceremony, held at the Lord Bagenal Hotel included Christening Generations , Soul of Crete , Adrenaline HPL , Barrow Training , Gaelic Escargot , New Haven Kitchens & Equi-Ratings.

The overall winner, Paul & Olivia Mc Nally of Mc Nally Denture, is in the Dental sector and manufactures dentures from their premises in Carlow Town.

Having now reached the final of the National Enterprise Awards in May, Mc Nally Denture will be competing against 30 other companies from every local authority area for a share of the €40,000 prize fund across thirteen categories.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kieran Comerford with Local Enterprise Office Carlow congratulated the local entrepreneurs, saying: “Paul & Olivia Mc Nally are a very worthy winner of this major enterprise award, in recognition of what they has achieved here in the county. Because of their drive and determination, the company already employs 5 people and plans to exopand in the very near future.”

Among the special guests at the ceremony were Andrew Doyle, Minister of State for Food, Forestry and Horticulture , Deputy Pat. Deering , Senator Jennifer Marnane O’Connor , Mayor Fintan Phelan , Chairperson of Carlow County Council Cllr. John Murphy & Deputy Chief Executive of Carlow County Council.

The judges for the competition were Ailish Delaney from IT Carlow & Pauline Hoctor Business Advisor with the Local Enterprise Office.
