Next Saturday, December 1st, will mark the 5th annual Small Business Saturday where we encourage the public to shop locally and support retailers in every town and village across Ireland. 

Originally an American concept, Small Business Saturday is an initiative that is supported and promoted by Retail Excellence. We want to use this opportunity to help profile smaller retailers and encourage all citizens to support them.Retail supports 282,000 jobs in 37,400 businesses across Ireland. Retail forms the core of many towns and villages not just as commercial venues, but where neighbours meet and communities gather. On December 1st, we remind the public to think locally and shop locally.
