Bounceland returns to The Exchange

Carlow County Council in association with Scats Bouncing Castles is delighted to announce that Bounceland is coming to the Exchange in the Potato Market in Carlow Town Centre from 28th-30th August 2023. Bounceland will feature a variety of bouncing castles, family games and facepainting. The activities are designed for children from 4-12 years of age.

Tickets for Bounceland are available on a ‘first come - first served’ basis with each family slot lasting 1 hourEach session is 45 minutes of playtime allowing 15 minutes for each group to depart. Families are asked to arrive 10 minutes before the allocated time to allow for the effective switch over of sessions. The first session each day is from 10am with the final session at 5pm.

Speaking about the event, Cllr. Tom O’Neill, Mayor of the Municipal District of Carlow said “We are delighted to host this free event for the people of County Carlow as a closure for the summer”.  Tom continued to say “family is so important to us in Carlow County Council and play is an essential part of the development of our younger population. Opportunities like this and our upcoming upgrade to the Town Park Play Area, being led out by the team in the area office with the support of the Town & Village Renewal Scheme, are important parts of our programme for the development of Carlow Municipal District”. Tom concluded by saying “By providing children with opportunities to play, we are helping them to develop into healthy, well-rounded individuals”.

Bounceland is co-ordinated by the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council. Speaking about the importance of the Council supporting activities in Town Centres, Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development & Enterprise said “ Town centres are the heart of our communities. They are where we come together to shop, eat, and play. They are also where we build relationships and create memories. That's why it's so important for families to visit town centres. When families come to town centres, they support local businesses, boost the economy, and make our communities stronger.

Kieran concluded by saying “Town centres are where families come together to create memories and we hope that everybody who attends will enjoy the Bounceland experience. When families visit town centres, they are investing in the future of their community.”
