Carlow’s Culinary Creations to be celebrated at Sold Out Festive Food Show

Carlow Culinary Christmas

Carlow’s Culinary Christmas, the food event that celebrates all that is great about Carlow’s Food Producers is coming to VISUAL in County Carlow early in December with celebrity chef Neven Maguire.

Now in its second year, Carlow Culinary Christmas aims to showcase food producers in County Carlow and this year chef Neven Maguire is at the helm, and will be demonstrating some of his favourite recipes to the expected full house in VISUAL on 8th December 2016”.

Speaking about the event Maguire said “I’m really looking forward to Carlow’s Culinary Christmas. I hope I can maybe inspire people too; show them some of the wonderful food they can be making for themselves and their families and all from local producers. What could be better than that?! Ultimately it’s about reconnecting people with food and Carlow’s Culinary Christmas is helping to do that by bringing local food and local producers back to the people.”

It’s an exciting time to be involved in Irish food Neven Maguire admits, and he has seen an explosion of interest in Irish produce across the length and breadth of the country.

“Irish food is on a crest of a wave,” he says. “We’re seeing so much innovation, imagination and quality being produced, from cheesemakers to brewers, I’m learning so much too. We have something special here, we really do, and I think as a country and as a people we’re genuinely appreciating and celebrating it. For me, France and Italy have always talked the talk and walked the walk when it came to celebrating local produce and source of origin and here in Ireland it’s fantastic to be able to say that we’re doing the same. Not only are we being celebrated at home but internationally as well.
