Carlow Launches #shoplocalshopcarlow campaign
“In an era of global connectivity and convenience, the call to support local businesses resonates now more than ever.” says , Cllr. Andrea Dalton , Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council as County Carlow Chamber, Bagenalstown Area Chamber of Commerce and Carlow County Council proudly announce a concerted effort to champion the spirit of local commerce with the launch the #shoplocalshopcarlow campaign for 2023. Explaining the campaign, the Cathaoirleach said” #shoplocalshopcarlow encourages the public to shop and to click local to help businesses in their community to support one again. This campaign is a great reminder to people to consider what is on their doorstep and to shop local”. The campaign includes digital promotions, competitions, radio shows and print competitions and runs in tandem with County Carlow - A Festive Family Experience.
Speaking about the importance of shopping Local in the run up to Christmas, President of County Carlow Chamber, Rowena Dooley, emphasizes the critical role local businesses play in the economic vitality of our County. "When you shop local, you are investing in the heartbeat of your community. Local businesses are the backbone of our economy, providing employment opportunities, contributing to local development, and creating a unique identity for our towns and villages. By choosing to spend your hard-earned money with local merchants, you are directly contributing to the growth and prosperity of your own community."
