Check into the Local Enterprise Office and check out the Unison Business Development & Support Series
Cathaoirleach , Tom O’Neill is encouraging businesses to check into www.loalenterprise.ie/carlow to check out the new business support series called Unison. Unison is a series of year long short programmes designed as a result of the Training & Capacity Survey in 2020 available for the SME community. With over 20 programmes available with everything from technology to marketing to masterclasses in finance the programmes are designed in bite sized chunks in order to provide practical support to help people during the challenges and opportunities presented in today’s marketplace.
The Cathaoirleach commented that “I’m encouraging people who are in business and their key employees to check out the range of programmes available and to engage with the Local Enterprise Office as the first stop shop for business supports offering a range of supports to business impacted by COVID-19 including training, mentoring, providing getting Brexit ready supports and access to funding”.
Speaking about the benefits of series, Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development & Enterprise said “in 2020, over 2000 people attended programmes designed and developed by the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow and this year we have put together a new team of trainers to provide a new blend of programmes and courses based on the ask of the business community ”. The Head of Economic Development & Enterprise continued to say “all our programmes are heavily subsidized as funding is provided by Enterprise Ireland and are designed to assist companies to address challenges and progress opportunities and bring together some of Irelands best business trainers in their field in a format which is suitable for owner managers and their key staff”.
Gabrielle Carroll, Business Advisor with the Local Enterprise Office said “Over the past 12 months since the start of the pandemic commenced we have been in constant communication with the business community and the Unison series is designed to teach, inform and inspire businesses in their areas of opportunity and are delivered digitally to ensure that any emerging challenges and opportunities can be dealt with as effectively as possible”. The business advisor continued to say “these courses and programmes are designed for all types of businesses weather you’re in retail, engineering, personal services and if your company requires support in the form of training and capacity development I’d encourage you to reach out to us to discuss your business needs”.
