Industry Leaders Open their Doors to off support

A team of County Carlow’s Industry Leaders have come together with Blaise Brosnan and the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council to launch the “The Business House” which is a peer network development programme for County Carlow companies which will run from July-November 2020.

David Walsh, Co-Founder of Netwatch speaking about the programme said “Rachel Doyle from Arboretum and myself are delighted to bring together this team of industry leaders who have significant experience and they are willing to share this experience to support entrepreneurs over the coming months in County Carlow” , David continued to say “we know in County Carlow we have some of Ireland’s most innovative and resilient entrepreneurs in the Country but we know there are challenges and opportunities ahead and as a County we have to support each other in a real and meaningful way by sharing our experience, our contacts and our learning and this is where the genesis of this programme comes from ”

The programme will run on the basis of peer facilitated sessions by Blaise Brosnan which will be complimented by each participant company being allocated an entrepreneur who will engage with them monthly to provide advice and direction. Complimenting this process will be supports from the Local Enterprise Office & Enterprise Ireland who will be there to ensure resources and supports available will be provided to the participant companies.

Speaking about the programme , Kathleen Holohan, Chief Executive with Carlow County Council said “We know as a local authority we must play our part in supporting the business community and I am delighted that Carlow County Council can work in partnership with Industry to develop this new programme which brings together the international experience base of County Carlow Industry Leaders and our own expertise in supporting company development with supports via our Local Enterprise Office”.  The Chief Executive continued to say “over the past number of weeks we have been working with industry to come up with a focused plan.”

“The Business House” peer development programme being launched today is open for applications from County Carlow companies who have greater than 5 staff and over 2 years trading experience and is free of charge with full details on www.localenterprise.ie/carlow

The closing date for applications is Friday 10th July 2020.
